What is EFT - Emotional Freedom Technique?
New to the United Kingdom, EFT was developed by Gary Craig in the United States from Dr Roger Callahan’s “Thought Field Therapy” and it has its roots in Applied Kinesiology and Acupuncture. Like acupuncture and acupressure, EFT works by impacting directly upon the body’s energy flow by tapping gently on many of the same meridian points used in the forementioned therapies.

Hundreds of professional therapists and tens of thousands of very enthusiastic users in the UK and United States testify to EFT’s unique ability to bring rapid and permanent relief from many problems.

EFT is an emotional clearing technique that some psychologists consider to be among the most important breakthroughs in their field:-

Often works where nothing else will
Gentle, works quickly and is startlingly long lasting
No drugs or equipment involved
Easily learned by anyone
Can be self applied

As a fully qualified EFT Practitioner and a member of The Association for the Advancement of Meridian Therapies, I know from experience that this technique is flexible, can be fast, effective and more often than not it is permanent. I have seen many clients who have experienced dramatic relief from a range of ailments and emotional issues from frozen shoulders, dental discomfort, grief resolution, agoraphobia, fear of driving in specific places, claustrophobia, fear of furry animals, anxiety when speaking in public.....and the list goes on!

The great things is just about anyone can use EFT, just about anyone can learn this quickly and easily. EFT is a group of techniques that release any 'stuck' emotions and prevent a person from moving forward in their lives.

So what really is it?

EFT involves tapping gently using the fingertips on certain energy points (located around upper body and hands) whilst using an affirmation agreed with the client in relation to the problem. EFT enables an individual to release the negative emotions from these energy points (also known as meridian centres). It is the missing piece in the healing puzzle, enabling achievable results far in excess of many conventional methods.

What can it treat?

Many of the most influential psychologists are now coming to recognise that unblocking these 'stuck' subtle energies can be the key to releasing a vast array of emotions including:-

Stress and Anxiety
Depression
Negative memories and inner child issues
Anger and Frustration
Fears and Phobias i.e. Claustrophobia, flying etc
Guilt, grief, trauma, abuse, confidence issues, self-doubt
Those awful yucky feelings which sometimes
you just may not be able to find a name for.
EFT can also be used to help improve physical health by:
